My name is Slavka. Some call me Sita, a name given to me at the age of 15 by one of my first spiritual teachers. My father, a medical doctor, taught me Reiki and Therapeutic Touch when I was 7 years old. I graduated from Marywood University with a BS in Nursing. I’m certified by the International School of Shiatsu to practice and teach Shiatsu Shin Tai.
For the last 27 years I’ve been practicing bodywork that my teacher, Saul Goodman calls Shiatsu Shin Tai. Creating an environment where awareness, awakening and healing takes place, I assist my clients with recovering their own “Life Force”. I love exploring and learning about how the mind and body work together. While helping others, my work helps me deepen spiritually.
Ever since I can remember, I have always searched for truth and spiritual wisdom. I wondered why life here is so short. When I was little, I wondered why each of us feels so separate, when every one of us feels that same personal “I” inside.
I feel that we are all connected through a consciousness that permeates everything in this universe. That is our own true self. If we open ourselves and surrender to that connection in our daily life, we understand that we are only reflections of one another. We are free to be more conscious, compassionate, and loving beings.
I enjoy being completely human, while seeing through illusions, accepting what is, including my strengths and weaknesses.
Following my heart, I wake up to my true self:
the blank canvas… on which all colors are painted
the silence… in which all sounds are heard
the stillness… in which all movement is felt
the emptiness… from which all thoughts arise
the nothingness… in which all pleasure is felt
the infinite ocean… on which all waves dance
